Kaitlyn Martin

Director of Writing


Kaitlyn Martin joined FP1 Strategies as Director of Writing in May 2015, where she manages and produces long and short-form writing projects for a variety of public affairs and political clients. 

Prior to joining FP1, Kaitlyn served as a Legislative Assistant for the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, State and Local Division.  In that capacity, she handled legislative monitoring on Second Amendment issues and the crafting of messaging for legislative alerts in 26 states.  During the historic 2014 election cycle, Kaitlyn was involved in coordinating NRA’s endorsements and direct mail in over 700 state races, including five of the top 2014 Governor’s races. 

Kaitlyn graduated cum laude from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in International Affairs.  While an undergrad at GW, she served as Chairman of both the GW College Republicans and the DC Federation of College Republicans, organizing high profile speakers and campaign deployments during the 2010 and 2012 election cycles.
