As FP1 Strategies’ Director of Production Operations, Lara Veit spearheads the shoot-planning process for political and public affairs campaigns across the country. This role includes directing client communication, managing shoot schedules, and contributing to script development. Lara also provides linguistic support for Spanish-language spots.
During the 2016 cycle, Lara traveled to 14 states, coordinating over 20 shoots for high-profile House, Senate, and gubernatorial races.
Prior to joining FP1 in June of 2016, Lara interned at McCarthy Hennings Whalen, Inc., a political media firm in Washington, D.C., where she actively contributed in the creation and production of political commercials. Through drafting spot scripts and conducting content research, Lara found a passion for the political media arena.
Lara graduated cum laude from The George Washington University in May of 2016 with a B.A. in Political Communication at the School of Media and Public Affairs. During her undergraduate years, Lara served on the D.C. Federation of College Republicans executive board—an opportunity that provided a platform for her work on both state-level and national campaigns.
A New Yorker by birth and disposition, but a native of the Nutmeg State, Lara currently resides in Virginia.
